There are plenty of eyebrow jewelry styles to chose from,
and with the inexpensive prices available online, most people
love to have a versatile collection. However, you should know
that changing eyebrow jewelry is not a wise idea until a couple
months have passed, and especially during the healing period.
A studio can change the jewelry after your piercing has healed,
and after 2 months, anyone can easily do so.
Usually piercings are put at a right angle to the line of
the eyebrow, in the outer third. This is because if an intrusion
is made closer to the bridge of the nose, there is a nerve
which will paralyze part of the face if cut. But at the typical
eyebrow piercing angle, you may be able to see larger diameter
rings out of the corner of your eye, which would be irritating.
The gauge range for eyebrow piercings is anything from 14
to 18.
Before changing eyebrow jewelry, you should lubricate both
the piercing and the new piece of jewelry, using a water-based
lubricant or anti-microbial soap. Put a small amount of lubricant
onto the jewelry still in your eyebrow, and rotate the jewelry
gently to let the lubricant go inside the piercing. Now you
can safely and comfortably make the switch!
If you have externally threaded body jewelry, it will need
heavy lubricating. It will be painful if the threads get caught
on the interior of the piercing.
Whether you are inserting studs or curved barbells, changing
eyebrow jewelry is a simple task that you will get the hang
of. Just remember to only do this after the piercing has healed.
If you insert a smaller gauge than is currently in your eyebrow
piercing, the piercing will shrink and will need to be stretched
out again if you want it back to the original size.
